PharmAcademic - Terms of Use




PharmAcademic requires that users acknowledge the Terms of Use applicable to PharmAcademic. The Terms of Use provide important information about acceptable and responsible uses of PharmAcademic, convey information about how data collected by PharmAcademic can be used, and define limitations of McCreadie Group’s liability. Users are required to accept the Terms of Use as a condition of obtaining access PharmAcademic; after accepting, users will not be prompted again unless there is an update to the Terms of Use.
Welcome to PharmAcademic. In order to continue to use PharmAcademic, you are required to accept and agree to the following Terms of Use.

I understand that PharmAcademic™ is an online tool to support learning for pharmacy residents in programs under the accreditation of ASHP. PharmAcademic is provided by McCreadie Group Software LLC and is licensed by ASHP for use by pharmacy residents.

If you are associated with an ASHP-accredited Residency Program:

I acknowledge that PharmAcademic is used to support pharmacy residency programs and to provide documentation of a systems-based approach to training for ASHP-accredited residencies. ASHP-accredited residency programs are required to use the resident tracking function of PharmAcademic to close out the residents each year.

I understand that PharmAcademic is provided for use by pharmacy residents, residency program directors, preceptors, and Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) members. I further understand that the documentation in the PharmAcademic software may be reviewed by ASHP accreditation surveyors and Commission on Credentialing (COC) members when evaluating a residency program in connection with its accreditation status. I further understand that the information maintained in PharmAcademic is confidential and is intended for use in the training of pharmacy residents and may be accessed and reviewed by the parties specifically stated herein.

If you are associated with a non-accredited Residency Program:

I acknowledge that PharmAcademic is used to support pharmacy residency programs and to provide documentation of a systems-based approach to training for residencies.

I understand that: 

  • PharmAcademic is provided for use by pharmacy residents, residency program directors, preceptors, and Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) members,
  • the information maintained in PharmAcademic is confidential and is intended for use in the training of pharmacy residents, and 
  • the information maintained in PharmAcademic may be accessed and reviewed by the parties specifically stated herein.

General Provisions for All Users

I understand and acknowledge that from time to time, the PharmAcademic software may be inaccessible or inoperable for various reasons, including system malfunctions, upgrades or modifications, or causes beyond McCreadie Group’s control that are not reasonably foreseeable by McCreadie Group, including interruption or failure of telecommunication or digital transmission links, necessary maintenance, hostile network attacks or network congestion or other failures (collectively "Downtime").

MCCREADIE GROUP DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY TO USERS OF THIS SOFTWARE. USER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT, USER HAS NOT RELIED ON ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WRITTEN OR ORAL REPRESENTATION BY MCCREADIE AS AN INDUCEMENT TO ACCEPT THESE TERMS OF USE. TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MCCREADIE GROUP BE LIABLE TO USERS FOR PERSONAL INJURY, OR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR ANY OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE PHARMACADEMIC SOFTWARE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE PHARMACADEMIC SOFTWARE, HOWEVER CAUSED, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF MCCREADIE GROUP HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

I also agree that I will not use the PharmAcademic software for any purposes prohibited by U.S. law.

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, McCreadie grants to ASHP a non-exclusive, non- transferable, non-assignable right to (i) access the Web Site; (ii) utilize the Software; and (iii) authorize pharmacy residency programs who are part of the ASHP accreditation system ("Programs") and their residents to access the Web Site and utilize the Software pursuant to the Software’s click-through Terms of Use, (such Programs and residents, "Users"), each of (i), (ii), and (iii) for the Permitted Purpose only. The "Permitted Purpose" shall be the receipt of residency program management services from McCreadie ("Services").
